Easy Rump Steak and Stilton Sauce

  • Get a Heavy based Pan nice and searing hot
  • Rub your Rump steak in oil and add a little to the pan
  • Carefully add your steaks to the pan & fry for 2 minutes, without moving them
  • Season the steaks with Salt & Pepper & turn over in the pan
  • Now season the cooked side & leave to fry for another 2 minutes (leave for longer depending on how well cooked you like your steak cooked)
  • Transfer to a warm plate and let the steak rest
  • Now add some finely diced shallots & a little butter to the same pan, allow the shallots to sweat gently until soft
  • Add a small glass of white wine to the pan & reduce by about a third
  • Now add some double cream to the pan & crumble in some Stilton cheese
  • Simmer until the sauce will coat the back of a spoon

Enjoy your Steak with Sauce, some Sauté potatoes and a fresh green salad
